The SIDT Radio Reach Out Program has been running since 1996 in collaboration with the Solomon Islands Broadcasting Corporation (SIBC).

The radio program focuses on exploring themes such as good governance, sustainable livelihoods, development and peace.

The 15 minute radio program is an effective way for SIDT to get its messages out to the people of the Solomon Islands in a way that many people can access and understand.

Radio is still the foremost communication tool in the Solomon Islands with no local television broadcaster.

It is relatively easy and affordable to purchase a personal radio and for many people who can not read and write this is the key way that they receive information.

The SIDT radio program is broadcast on the SIBC radio channel each Friday at 7:45am and repeated again at 8:15pm that evening.
